    Mechanical Services Field Technician / Field and Shop Fabrication Specialist Dallas, GA

    Primary services include installation of compressed air systems, dust, mist, fume collection systems and associated ductwork, finishing booths and general industrial mechanical, fabrication and specialized services.

    Position overview:

    Field service of industrial / commercial mechanical systems. Light structural fabrication in shop and field settings. Compressed air system pipe layout and installation. Compressor Service and installation and plumbing. Material conveyance ductwork systems layout and installation.

    Prior experience of some or all of the listed proficiencies is highly desired.

    Desired Experience and Proficiencies:

    • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in front of clients and work
    • Desire to be a Team Lead / Supervisor with former experience is highly
    • Strong organizational and time management
    • Capable to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities to be the lead on a job and manage others on
    • Computer software proficiency with Excel, Word, CAD experience a
    • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Sales Force is
    • Ability to estimate time and bill materials lists for
    • Maintain clean and organized
    • Weld and cut steel and other materials, Stick, MIG, TIG Proficiency
    • Ability to site fabricate supports and other mechanical
    • Shop Fabrication from drawings, sketches and verbal
    • Care and use of CNC Plasma Cutter, Ironworker, band saw, vertical mill, bending brake and general shop and fabrication equipment and
    • Practical design and installation of compressed air systems in manufacturing
    • Ability to layout and work with threaded pipe, rapid assembly type compression pipe and plumbing of compressors, tanks and condensate recovery and treatment
    • Work with electric motors, belts, gears, pulleys, chains and gear reduction assemblies
    • Familiarity of single and 3ph power systems, motors and controls, electrical safety and LOTO
    • Experience with dust, fume and mist collection
    • Ability to install and work with round, square, clamp together, flanged and spiral sheet metal ducting
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fabrication techniques and best practices to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
    • Experienced in operation and safely working on elevated work platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, scaffolding up to 40’ and straight mast and construction type fork lifts

     

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Ability to lift 70 to 100 lbs
    • Speak and understand English – Must be able to communicate to other team members and equipment operators inEnglish
    • No fear of heights, elevated work is required on ladders, scaffolding and
    • Hold a valid Driver’s License in your primary state of residence
    • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening
    • Clean Driving Record to operate company vehicles and ability to safely tow trailered equipment to customer job sites
    • OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification capable
    • References and background check may be required
